I don’t usually ask a lot from you guys but I’d like you to do one thing for me…go to Google and type in 1500 or Nothin’ and see what you come up with. Now that wasn’t some kind of strange trick, I just wanted to illustrate the fact that these guys have worked with a fair amount of today’s Hip Hop and R&B roster (TI, Jay-Z, David Banner, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Jennifer Hudson, Bobby Valentino, Mack 10…and there are STILL more!)
I’ve had the opportunity to hang out with them a couple of times (while on tour with Lupe Fiaso) and their energy both off and on stage is dope. All under 30, they produce, write, sing, and play (Bam – the drummer was responsible for the mean drum lick on Jay-Z’s ‘Show Me What You Got). I’d say these are the guys you need to watch out for because they’ve probably worked on your favourite rapper’s album.
I’m hoping to catch up with at least one of them and initiate them into the ‘iamthenublack’ hall of fame so watch this space. I’ve been told I’m bad at introducing people so I’ll let YouTube do the talking.
