You know this is an extra special (extended) 2nd birthday post. I first caught wind of Red NYC x BET’s ‘Model City’ a few months ago and was impressed…being one of the top modelling agencies for Black male models.
My favourite models from the show are Ibrahim Baaith – artist/model/self confessed renaissance man who’s work is DOPE! Also, Salieu Jalloh who is a true hustler and agency favourite (he booked 12 shows at last year’s NY Fashion Week!) – at just 19 he models to support his 8 brothers and sisters, despite his parent’s dissaproval.
To be honest I like MOST of the models in the show, lol. I had a really fun time searching for these images *cough*. Right, I’m off to find a way to get a Red NYC x Iamthenublack photoshoot….I’ll let you know how that works out, lol.

I LOVE this show!! Ibrahim and Salieu re my favs as well but I don’t remember Dominique. I hope the show comes back for a second series because it is fabulous!
